Recipe Pot Roast: Recipe Full of Aromas and Flavors

When beef meets the art of pot roasting, the result is a dish with rich flavours and aromas that captivate the senses. This recipe offers a unique taste experience, combining the tenderness of the meat with the intense flavour of the spices and the freshness of the white wine.

 Ingredients of Recipe Pot Roast

  • 1 kilo of beef (fillet)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ onion
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of MADARA with Dittany for pot roasts
  • Salt
  • A little freshly ground pepper
  • Cooking twine

Recipe execution for Pot Roast

  1. Cut the string into pieces and tie the meat tightly along the length every 2 cm so that it keeps a nice shape when cooking and slices nicely on the serving platter.
  2. In a small-steady saucepan, just enough to fit the meat, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat, add the tied meat, add the MADARA mixture and brown it very well all around on all sides, for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the whole carrot and onion. Add the wine. Lower the heat, cover and cook until simmering. The cooking time depends on the type of meat.
  4. Every 15 minutes we need to turn the meat to cook it properly until it is cooked through. Towards the end of cooking, add salt and freshly ground pepper.
  5. When the cooking is complete and the meat is cooked, remove it to a cutting board and after it has cooled a little, remove the string and slice it thinly.
  6. If the sauce left in the pot is thin, turn up the heat for 4-5 minutes until thick bubbles appear, a sign that the sauce has thickened well.
  7. Pour the sauce over the meat slices and serve.

  • The use of cooking string ensures that the meat will retain its shape and provide an impressive presentation.
  • Adjusting the cooking time according to the type of meat ensures the ideal result in terms of curing.
