When consumed responsibly, sage tea benefits you in a totally healthy way. However, consuming too much sage tea could result in the consumption of unsafe amounts of thujone, which is a neurotoxin. This may cause vomiting, tremors, and dizziness. If you have diabetes, excessive sage consumption could cause blood sugar to drop. Medical opinion before consumption is recommended by those who have health problems.

Sage tea can also be mixed with a handful of fresh thyme and steeped with a ginger slice and teaspoon of honey for a deliciously spicy and different cup of tea.
